Laminad (Dan) Members, Once again our 'ol buddy ATmo has returned to try and create trouble within the clan and amongst members. Bare with us guys, thanks. Dave
Hail everyone,
Sarvoth here, this email is going out to all the people signed up on the database for the Shadowbane Realm. Please do not reply to this email, I ask that you please reply to Sarvoth@clan-forsaken.com, if you have ANY questions. Lets begin.
We have 30 or so members who aren't signed up on the official roster. One reason im sure is because some of you have no figured what class/race/ or diciplines to choose from. This isn't something set in stone, you can change your race/class/diciplines at ANY time, but the point of this is to get you on the Official Roster, so that the Realm is more complete.
First things first, if you don't know what classes, races, or diciplines you have to choose from please start here:
From here, read all about all the Races, and choose one. Once you choose one, you will see a list of Classes they can be in their race screen. Choose one that spark's your interest, or catches your eye, read about it, if you don't like it, go back and look at other classes that race can be. Continue to do this till you have picked a preferable class "FOR NOW", then from the class screen there will be a list of Diciplines to choose from. You may choose up to 3, however, choosing just one means you will be able to master it 100%, choosing 2 means you will be able to master each at 50% and choosing 3 will enable you to master each at aprox. 32.2%.. So choose wisely!
Once you have your 3 things, Race ==> Class ==> Dicipline(s)
You will then need to think of a character name, if you cannot think up a name now, that is fine, still sign up to the roster, just under you clan name, for now. When you think of names, you will want to have a last name too, so bare this in mind, this task is probably the hardest, it has to be unique, yet befitting of your character.
If you need help with names, me and Darien are known for being good at it, just stop by our IRC chat, or get me on ICQ, or even email me, I will be glad to help.
Okay once this is all done, you will want to make a character sheet, something like this:
Player Name : Moridor
Character Name : Moridor Mithbane Race : Aelfborn Class : Fighter Race : Half-Giant Profession : Warrior Discipline(s) : Gladiator Status : Recruit Email : Cire624@aol.com
Here I used one of our recruits, Moridor, as an example. You will take this, and fill it out like he has, then you will go to:
And post it on that thread, and thats it, Tsalith will put you on the roster, and Sarvoth will be a happy man.
If you already are on the roster, Im sorry for this inconvienence and please ignore this letter.
Anyways, if you have ANY questions, please email me! Thanks everyone,
Sarvoth Talem

Dinko Gredelj uploaded a file.
I've just been rummaging through my TDZK files and screenshots.
This is a detailed raid plan during the war between House Harkonnen and LoF.
Good times!
Hope the strategy won't be used back against us one day...

Vedran Rasol OMG. Ishan's plan One of the biggest HH ops ever. We had intel on each LoF planet. We had 'secret' alliance with Silver Horde and they had high ranked spy in Lof We had full turns, ships, everything planned to smallest detail and +20 people online . Plan was to ride all LoF planets in single op. If I recall it correctly after we raided 5th or 6th planet someone (Renegades?) jumped us. We podded 6 of them losing 4 ships. Then Ishan made biggest mistake and called end of op. Real truth was: he was sleepy and his girlfriend was mad since he played TDZK non-stop We hide our most expensive ships on biggest SH planet. The next day this planet was taken by our allies (I really don't recall their name) who were in war with SH. All our ships were left intact over planet for several hours. Then someone informed LoF about it.... good old TDZK days.

Filip Cec Hahahaha Bubi I think you are almost spot on! If I remeber correctly that was one of the first plans I made (helped a lot by that British guy whose name I forgot). I stopped the OP since part of the escort was podded, part of the team had to leave and most likely I was sleepy and had a fight with my ex.
Also, as in every op I run my head was about to explode because of the endless explanations I had to give to our noob pilots (after all we were an alliance made out of a ton of inexperienced people). Anyway, good all HH times!
EDIT: Btw... that wasn't our biggest op. We had several bigger ones - one of the most remarkable was the one when we were raiding with SH in 9k and we got jumped by almost everyone. Tdzk was laggish that night of all the action that occured!

Michael Inglis I imagine getting a spy into LOF in those days would have been as challenging as levelling to level 10 then just messaging someone in LOF saying "hey dude, can I join? You guys look cool"

A little known fact is that the great browser based game TDZK that flourished during the years 2001-2007 was created by 2 members of the House Forsaken multi-game clan, Jerle & Hotaru. Both of these worthies had been members of the House Forsaken alliance in Space Merchant that played under the name of the "Trex Mercenaries." TDZK was inspired by Space Merchant and was soon a much better game than what SM ever was. However, there was a problem: getting their follow HF members into the game. Back in the Fall of 2001, in one of TDZK's earliest rounds, if not in fact its very first round, there was a Top Ten ranked HF alliance under StormFire aka the longtime #3 guy in all of HF. HF then failed to maintain an alliance in TDZK for over a year. Finally, after some prodding from Jerle & Hotaru I decided to take HF into TDZK. To do that I first had to resign as the in-game leader of the HF alliance in SMR and hand over the position to my talented protege there, Omega Renegade. Then I posted to both the HF Browser Based Gaming (BBG) Realm & the General Discussion Forum (GDF) about taking HF back into TDZK. Posting on the GDF proved to be a mixed blessing since while it attracted a number of talented players to the game, it also attracted the interest of a senior HF member named Jewel who proved to be both a cheater as well an incredibly ineffective alliance leader and an idiot to boot. However, the HF alliance initially thrived. For instance it moved up in the alliance rankings from #49 to #39 in just one day. Meanwhile, our close allies the Shadow Knights (SK's) under Malhavoc also moved up the alliance rankings from #65 to #42 in just about one day was well. Recruiting went so well that we set up a new alliance, House Forsaken 2, that served as a recruit/training alliance. I decided to make myself the leader of HF2. I still remained the overall leader of the HF forces in TDZK. My preference for the leadership of the main HF alliance was an experienced veteran of BBG's such as either DarkFlare or DracoLichB, however both declined the honor. Since Jewel really wanted that position and his shortcomings were not yet apparent, he was picked. Both of the House Forsaken alliances along with the SK's rapidly became a force to be reckoned with. According to my notebook from this time (Yes I still have my gaming notebooks from such games as Diaspora, Dominion, Merchant Empires, Planetarion, Quest for Yap, Solar Empire, Space Merchant & SM's wretched "close clone" SMR & SpaceDog's unsuccessful Trade Wars like BBG The Merchant among others. Do you?), the main HF alliance ranked #19 while HF 2 ranked #22 and the SK's ranked #28. However disaster struck in mid-March, 2003, Jerle informed me on ICQ (In a conv that I inexplicably failed to cut & paste to email) that he had, and not for the first time, caught both Hyperion & Jewel running multi's. On top of that, he also caught Hyperion right in the act in some other act of something even worse than mere cheating: Hyperion was using his multi-account in a childish attempt to start a war between the HF/SK forces and a powerful alliance called Iron Ring. And this despite the fact that we were already in a war with the powerful Dark Realms alliance. It was at precisely this point that everything went to Hell. To be continued.................... Hotaru's Resignation from House Forsaken: Hotaru True Brother Joined: 24 Apr 2001 Posts: 138 Location: Taenarian Orbit Posted: Mon Mar 24, 2003 4:46 pm Post subject: House Forsaken member resignation. ------------------------------ I am officially resigning my status as a member of House Forsaken. I have met many friends here, but I must take my leave now. I've never been really good at being subtle, so I'll be blunt. I can't stand to be affiliated with a house that cannot fulfill its own rules. In light of recent events, this is the first time in my three years of membership that I have been ashamed of being a member of this community, and since nothing seems to be in the works as a solution, I bid you all adieu. You all know where I am if you ever want to talk. Reply | Delete Hotaru's resignation from HF was followed up by this by Pinkus aka Krioni, the head of the Browser Based Gaming Realm: crector and hotaru were actually upducted from their beds and brainwashed. Thats why they are leaving... As for my "leaving" that did not come about until 5 days later when I was formally expelled from HF under the direct orders of HF's Founder-Leader UsuRpeR who made an incredibly vitriolic post, that among other things, claimed that I was 100 times worse than Hitler. I really wanted remain in HF at least until TDZK would reset when I would form a new alliance and take as many of the HF recruits from SMR & TDZK as I could with me. By the time of my expulsion, I was already talking to many of these recruits such as Bakito, Bink, Chaortis, Desert Fox, Dragonte & Sgili, conversations that would eventually lead to the founding of the Knights of the Galaxy (KOG). However, the KOG is another story for another time. Saturday, August 31, 2013

This alliance was made up of all the races of good brought together in order to survive against the struggles of the horde. Secretly they worked behind the scenes as the war raged on until finally the dark portal had been closed and war seemed to slow. Eventually the Elysian were disbanded as they were no longer in need of any guidance during the times of peace. The world seemed to be coming towards peace. However years passed and darker times came upon our lands. New gates were opened allowing demons far worse then any orc or troll. Each day grew far graver then they had ever been before until the races of this world banded together once again, destroying the new threat to this very world. Yet new dangers come upon us now every day and threaten our very existence. The Elysian council must come together once again as our forefathers had long ago. To bring the races of good back together, and so our search began to renew The Elysian and fight for what is rightfully ours. Rules 1) Treat each other with respect. There will be no bickering or petty arguments within our ranks 2) If there is issues which cannot be resolved bring it before the council and we will decide it in a just manner. 3) We ask for activeness within the guild. This means posting on the message board on a regular basis, giving opinions when they are asked for (remember the members help run this guild as much as the leaders), and show up for events when scheduled. 4) All “official” raids will follow the “Elysian Honor Point System” set-up within this page. See below for more info. 5) All “unofficial” raids will follow the raid leaders own system. (See Raiding Info Below) 6) We ask that all members are mature about certain matters (such as raiding, events etc.) We all can be immature at times but if you are constantly complaining, causing trouble, or not listening and thus causing other members to suffer, you will be given a warning then released. 7) All ranks are obtained by participation, time within the ranks, and the Honor System. 8) All members will listen to and obey the higher ranks (This applies to raids, events, and PvP) 9) Members will not “abuse” their power if they are in that of a leadership position, if this is abused, there will be no warning and the member will be dismissed. We do not like people abusing power and trying to make others suffer because of it. 10) This guild is about maintaining a high standing and respect within the community of WoW. We do not ask everyone to be “uber gamers”, but just to be mature, respect others, and make the guild look proud. Remember, your name will represent the guild as much as anyone else’s. 11) Crafters will gain ranks and advancement through the guild following the “Elysian Craft Point System” (See below) 12) When the game is released, a donation system may be set up to fund the crafters within the guild and thus allowing them to supply the guild with weapons, armor, items etc. This also may apply if guild houses get implemented. 13) We just wanted a rule 13… that is all. Raiding Info (Official & Unofficial Raids) Official Raids: An official raid will be an event designed and lead by a council member of choice. The raid will usually stand on a Sunday or Tuesday (official dates TBA). At this raid, all loot will go to the leader of the raid to be distributed at the end. The coordinator and an assistant will be in control of items and rewards. Every member that shows up to the event on time, from start, will get 1 Honor point. If the member stays till the end they get an additional 1 point. If the raid goal is met, and the member is apart of it (Example: You raid a dungeon and kill the dragon) you will get another additional 1 point, but this point will not be rewarded when there is defeat, or the goal fails. If you die while killing the main boss you will still be rewarded the point, just as long as you contribute to killing it. Example of a week of Raiding: Raid 1: Kalista goes to the raid; she gets a point for showing up. She then dies and respawns back at town, because she wants to meet someone real fast. While she is gone, the group kills the main monster. She does not gain that point. She decides to then stay behind. She losses the point for staying till the end. Total Points: 1 Raid 2: Kalista now goes to the 2nd event, but she is late. She loses her first point. She stays and the group gets to the end of the dungeon, and fails to kill the dragon, and the group tries again and finally gives up. Everyone loses the goal point. But she stays till the end so she gets that point. Total Points: 1 Total for the Week: 2 A good example of how to gain all your points: Good Raid: Kalista shows up on time, and she is ready to go. She gets a point. She is ready, and so are the other members there, and are fully prepared to wipe the dungeon clean. The members coordinate well and make it to the goal monster; a lich. Through a tough battle, the members succeed, and they gain another point. They work their way way out, and Kalista is there till the end. She gets another point. Total Points: 3 Unofficial Raids: Unofficial raids are basically raids that are done by regular members who just wish to group together and go out for a dungeon raid. In this case when items are dropped they will not go towards the Honor Point system and the leader of the raid will do looting by his wishes. However if a member wishes to lead an official raid he can send a request to the Council for it to be approved. If it is approved then an active attendance must be kept and there must be a certain number of members that attend the raid. The Elysian Honor System “How it Applies” The guild is set up for a system where activeness and participation are rewarded. The more active you are, the more events you show up for, and the more you put towards the guild and help out; the more you will receive. The Elysian Honor System basically applies this rule through the use of “Honor Points”. Honor points are accumulated during guild events such as dungeon raids, PvP (explanation of how PvP will apply to gaining points will be done up at a later time when PvP is revealed from WoW), and other various means. At the current time after accumulating a certain amount of points they will be used for reward and rank. We will be keeping track of rank points in two ways. One will be Merit Points, the other Honor Points. Merit points will constantly go up and be used to determine rank in the guild. There is no way to lose or use merit points. We use this for ranks due to activeness and participation will be determined by this. Honor points will be used to hand-in during guild raids for items and treasure dropped during the event. Each item will have a different amount of points based on the power/level/rareness of it. Example, a regular monster drops a magic short sword; it is not too rare but better then what you have. That would be 1 honor point. Later on you run into a sub-boss of a dungeon (Example, a Dragon’s Guardians) and it drops a special item, that item may be worth 7 points. Finally at the end, you fight the dragon and defeat him; his items may be 12 points a piece. As you can see, this way we disperse the items to those who have earned it. Note: You will only be able to buy the item if you can use it and only one item per raid until everyone gets one. Also the coordinator will be holding the items till the end of a raid, however, you may still claim an item before it is over, and we suggest doing so. Elysian Ranks “Based on Merit” Each rank is attained by the person’s merit. A merit is the same as an honor point, but are different in the sense that it doesn’t reduce, and can only increase. Each rank gives a sense of what the member has earned by giving forth to the guild. Note: Yes, each rank does give authority, in times that is needed. It is important to understand the meaning of authority when needed. Abuse will not be tolerated. An example of when it may be needed, is when a problem arises with a member, they may report it to the next rank above them, and they will do the same, etc. This chain of command will be essential in PvP, and will also create a net of respect that will connect through the member base. The Blood Line High Council Lower Council Members: Lords Duke/Elder Champion/Cardinal Knight/Sage Wizard/Priest/Warrior Seer/Squire Sorcerer/Follower/Cleric Supplicant/Acolyte Petitioner/Novice (ß---- From this, it starts from bottom up) The crafters will have their own set of ranks as well: Apprentice Adept Master Grandmaster The points apply to each rank as so: Points RANK: Fighter Caster 0-10 Petitioner Novice 10-30 Supplicant Acolyte 31-60 Follower Sorcerer\Cleric 61-90 Squire Seer 91-120 Warrior Wizard\Priest 121-150 Knight Sage 151-200 Champion Cardinal 201-300 Duke Elder 301+ Lord Lord http://web.archive.org/web/20040215110522/http://www.reignofelysian.com/enter2.html TuesdayFebruary 102004 New WorldofWar.net Articles WorldofWar.net has released four new trip articles. MondayNovember 172003 WoW Tradeskills Blizzard has updated the Townhall section once again with Tradeskill Information. Always good to have new info, means we are one step closer to beta! Posted By Xorastiz at 3:52 PM EST ...Back to Top... ThursdayNovember 132003 WoW update by Fires of Heaven Furor, the leader of the top EQ guild FoH, had the privilege of a private showing of World of Warcraft by RPardo and JKaplan (Tigole) last Friday. He has written a new article about the experience on the FoH front page, detailing the Priest and Warrior classes. It contains new info and 3 new screenshots. A must read! Expect more information on the other World of Warcraft classes from him in the coming weeks. Really nice Priest Abilities Mind Control Mesmerize/Entrance Only one opponent at a time. Dominate When using their Dominate ability, the priest falls into a sort of stasis or trance, unable to move or cast any spells, but instead possessing their target. When Dominating, the priest gains whatever abilities their opponent may have within their arsenal and moves/functions within the body of the enemy. Of course these spells can be resisted and the duration on the Dominate ability is still being tuned. Healing (Holy Magic) Shadow Magics Damage over Time spells possibly some Direct Damage spells Sight Abilities Scouting and detecting ambush traps Misc No Heal Chains, Priests are not the Clerics you know from other MMORPGs Cloth Armor only How channeling normally works in the World of Warcraft is as such: As you begin to cast a spell you bring up a casting time bar. If you are hit while casting the spell, it does not interrupt the spell but rather it delays the casting bar for each hit that is taken by the spellcaster. There are, of course, abilities that NPCs and players alike have that can interrupt a spell outright (bash, stuns, special strikes, counterspells, etc…). Warrior Abilities Come from 2 pools Rage Rage bar is exactly opposite a mana bar. You start at zero, and gain rage depending on the stance you are in and the actions you take. Decays back towards zero when the warrior isn't in battle. Kick, Whirlwind, Cleave (like War3 Huntress's glaive) Shouts Similar to the Barbarian's shouts from Diablo 2. Increase party damage, taunt, make monsters flee, and bolster weapon speed are some examples. Master of weaponry and armor Stances (Subject to change) Battle Stance Gains rage when taking and dishing out damage. Probably best for soloing. Defensive Stance Best for tanking. Gains rage from taking hits. Berserker Stance Gains rage from dishing out damage. Misc Comparing the two Warrior classes, Everquest versus the World of Warcraft, is like comparing your skinny cousin with the bad acne to Superman. Posted By Luciaan at 11:06 PM EST ...Back to Top... House Forsaken Website Screw-Up By: Charles Rector | Other | 6:23pm, September 7, 2005 The website for the online gaming group House Forsaken has been down for the past few days. Visitors to it receive this message: House Forsaken This site is down for maintenance. Please check back again soon. No peeking! Forums: http://forum.houseforsaken.com However, if you access the forums URL, you will soon find up that the situation is far worse than "down for maintenance." Here's the forum announcement from "Administrator" Aeon: Yes we lost the forums. Long story short: The backup was corrupted. I recovered as much as I ccould, but what I could recover.. was mostly worthless. I apologize. I've spent the last 18 hours trying to fix it / rebuild the database. If you see it here, I was able to save it. I wish I could say I can think of something that was really important and Im upset I did not save: On a brighter note: this saves a lot of my clean-up. The database was almost 400 megabytes and really killing the server. Most users wont have to re-register. If you're a newer member.. You will. According to Rheem Octuris, the cause of the destruction of the old forum was: It seems while Aeon was backing up the forum and converting to the new one, the server went down and some of the tables were corrupted. I recommend going back and reset all your settings. They probably rolled back a few months. The same thing happened back in late 2000, except the culprit that time was Maddog. Back then, HF was still a strong gaming clan and as such was able to survive the ordeal with minimal loss in membership. Since then, it has deteriorated to nothing more than a glorified forum clan. Now that the central hub of all clan activity has been zapped, it will be most interesting to see just what kind of impact that it has on HF. Never let it be said that us BBGers do nothing. In fact, us BBGers have created two games (both having attracted large audiences, namely TDZK and Quest for YAP) but we aren't satisfied with just that. Our very own DarkFlare (yes folks, he changed his name back...) has created OMGN. This is basically a portal catering to all who play BBGs. To put this in perspective, this is like someone making a site for all RTS players to call home. It features news, reviews, editorials, and a brand spankin' new forum. OMGN is a direct competitor to such sites as MPOGD and TWG if you guys know them. MPOGD is like the premiere site, their polls on the "Best" game gets people posting threads telling others to vote in almost any forum. Its THAT good. :P So why do you people all care? Well, OMGN wants to redesign its site. But we need your opinions to do this. People like to whine, so we want to make sure that there is nothing to whine about before we put up the new designs. The current contenders are: A: http://darkwulf.halomx.com/images/ho...gn-whitev2.gif B: http://darkwulf.halomx.com/images/ho...mgn-darkv2.gif So please, look at both, and offer complaints suggestions. I'd like both to be critiqued, and then I'll maybe ask for votes on which just pwnz more later. Thanks. HF will have an alliance there, with myself as the leader unless StormFire wants to resume the role he exercised way back in the Fall of 2001 when he was the HF leader in TDZK. TDZK was created (and still admined by) 2 of our HF brothers, Jerle & Hotaru. This is an opportunity for this clan to show to the larger gaming community that HF is still around and is not to be taken lightly. Reply With Quote Reply With Quote 02-17-2003, 01:39 PM #2 Mr. W. Good question, I posed it to TDZK Admin. (and HF brother) Jerle on ICQ just now and here's his response: Jerle: (7:10 PM) Experience translates into levels. Levels make you better at combat, at detecting cloaked ships, and a few other miscellaneous tasks. Reply With Quote Reply With Quote 02-20-2003, 08:18 AM #25 Guest As of now, the HF alliance has cracked the Top 40 Alliances in TDZK. We are currently ranked #39, up from #49 about 24 hours ago. Our allies, the Shadow Knights are now ranked #42, up from #65 24 hours ago. We also have our own IRC channel set up, courtesy of a new recruit named Toxico, separate from the HF IRC setup. Finally, an in-game member, Bakito, has applied to go through the HF recruitment process in the BBG Realm. In other words, we are an upswing in TDZK. Its kinda complex, and I think the system should be changed but its a holdover from when we didn't play as HF in SM I guess. From this point on, the main HF alliance will only take in recruits from HF & the HF/CF alliances in SMR. Hopefully, in a week or so, we'll start up a Forsaken Recruits alliance to take in more recruits who could eventually be recruited in the main HF allaince as replacements and/or recruited into the HF clan itself. These last few days have been harsh for TDZK... First the servers went down, now they're slow... I have over 1000 turns and can't spend them because I'm not patient enough to wait for the lag...
