Members,

Once again our 'ol buddy ATmo has returned to try and
create trouble within the clan and amongst members. Hes
already emailed a number of members about problems with
his broken english so its hard to sort through anyway.

This email is to notify everyone that he is accessing
our forum admin and that he is accessing personal clan
email accounts. Please be aware of this situation. We will
work to remedy this and hopefully move on.

If you find problems with your forum accounts or have
trouble with clan mail, let us know so we can fix it for
you and look into it. Bare with us guys, thanks.

Dave

Hail everyone,
Sarvoth here, this email is going out to all the people signed up on the database for the Shadowbane Realm. Please do not reply to this email, I ask that you please reply to Sarvoth@clan-forsaken.com, if you have ANY questions. Lets begin.

We have 30 or so members who aren't signed up on the official roster. One reason im sure is because some of you have no figured what class/race/ or diciplines to choose from. This isn't something set in stone, you can change your race/class/diciplines at ANY time, but the point of this is to get you on the Official Roster, so that the Realm is more complete.
First things first, if you don't know what classes, races, or diciplines you have to choose from please start here:
From here, read all about all the Races, and choose one. Once you choose one, you will see a list of Classes they can be in their race screen. Choose one that spark's your interest, or catches your eye, read about it, if you don't like it, go back and look at other classes that race can be. Continue to do this till you have picked a preferable class "FOR NOW", then from the class screen there will be a list of Diciplines to choose from. You may choose up to 3, however, choosing just one means you will be able to master it 100%, choosing 2 means you will be able to master each at 50% and choosing 3 will enable you to master each at aprox. 32.2%.. So choose wisely!
Once you have your 3 things, Race ==> Class ==> Dicipline(s)
You will then need to think of a character name, if you cannot think up a name now, that is fine, still sign up to the roster, just under you clan name, for now. When you think of names, you will want to have a last name too, so bare this in mind, this task is probably the hardest, it has to be unique, yet befitting of your character.
If you need help with names, me and Darien are known for being good at it, just stop by our IRC chat, or get me on ICQ, or even email me, I will be glad to help.
Okay once this is all done, you will want to make a character sheet, something like this:
Player Name : Moridor
Character Name : Moridor Mithbane
Race : Aelfborn
Class : Fighter
Race : Half-Giant
Profession : Warrior
Discipline(s) : Gladiator
Status : Recruit
Email : Cire624@aol.com
Here I used one of our recruits, Moridor, as an example. You will take this, and fill it out like he has, then you will go to:
And post it on that thread, and thats it, Tsalith will put you on the roster, and Sarvoth will be a happy man.
If you already are on the roster, Im sorry for this inconvienence and please ignore this letter.
Anyways, if you have ANY questions, please email me! Thanks everyone,

Dinko Gredelj uploaded a file.
I've just been rummaging through my TDZK files and screenshots.
This is a detailed raid plan during the war between House Harkonnen and LoF.

Good times!

Hope the strategy won't be used back against us one day...

Vedran Rasol OMG. Ishan's plan  One of the biggest HH ops ever. We had intel on each LoF planet. We had 'secret' alliance with Silver Horde and they had high ranked spy in Lof  We had full turns, ships, everything planned to smallest detail and +20 people online . Plan was to ride all LoF planets in single op. If I recall it correctly after we raided 5th or 6th planet someone (Renegades?) jumped us. We podded 6 of them losing 4 ships. Then Ishan made biggest mistake and called end of op. Real truth was: he was sleepy and his girlfriend was mad since he played TDZK non-stop  We hide our most expensive ships on biggest SH planet. The next day this planet was taken by our allies (I really don't recall their name) who were in war with SH. All our ships were left intact over planet for several hours. Then someone informed LoF about it.... good old TDZK days.

Filip Cec Hahahaha Bubi I think you are almost spot on! If I remeber correctly that was one of the first plans I made (helped a lot by that British guy whose name I forgot). I stopped the OP since part of the escort was podded, part of the team had to leave and most likely I was sleepy and had a fight with my ex.
Also, as in every op I run my head was about to explode because of the endless explanations I had to give to our noob pilots (after all we were an alliance made out of a ton of inexperienced people). Anyway, good all HH times!
EDIT: Btw... that wasn't our biggest op. We had several bigger ones - one of the most remarkable was the one when we were raiding with SH in 9k and we got jumped by almost everyone. Tdzk was laggish that night of all the action that occured!

Michael Inglis I imagine getting a spy into LOF in those days would have been as challenging as levelling to level 10 then just messaging someone in LOF saying "hey dude, can I join? You guys look cool"

A little known fact is that the great browser based game TDZK that flourished during the years 2001-2007 was created by 2 members of the House Forsaken multi-game clan, Jerle & Hotaru. Both of these worthies had been members of the House Forsaken alliance in Space Merchant that played under the name of the "Trex Mercenaries." TDZK was inspired by Space Merchant and was soon a much better game than what SM ever was. However, there was a problem: getting their follow HF members into the game. Back in the Fall of 2001, in one of TDZK's earliest rounds, if not in fact its very first round, there was a Top Ten ranked HF alliance under StormFire aka the longtime #3 guy in all of HF. HF then failed to maintain an alliance in TDZK for over a year.

Finally, after some prodding from Jerle & Hotaru I decided to take HF into TDZK. To do that I first had to resign as the in-game leader of the HF alliance in SMR and hand over the position to my talented protege there, Omega Renegade. Then I posted to both the HF Browser Based Gaming (BBG) Realm & the General Discussion Forum (GDF) about taking HF back into TDZK. Posting on the GDF proved to be a mixed blessing since while it attracted a number of talented players to the game, it also attracted the interest of a senior HF member named Jewel who proved to be both a cheater as well an incredibly ineffective alliance leader and an idiot to boot.

However, the HF alliance initially thrived. For instance it moved up in the alliance rankings from #49 to #39 in just one day. Meanwhile, our close allies the Shadow Knights (SK's) under Malhavoc also moved up the alliance rankings from #65 to #42 in just about one day was well. Recruiting went so well that we set up a new alliance, House Forsaken 2, that served as a recruit/training alliance. I decided to make myself the leader of HF2. I still remained the overall leader of the HF forces in TDZK. My preference for the leadership of the main HF alliance was an experienced veteran of BBG's such as either DarkFlare or DracoLichB, however both declined the honor. Since Jewel really wanted that position and his shortcomings were not yet apparent, he was picked.

Both of the House Forsaken alliances along with the SK's rapidly became a force to be reckoned with. According to my notebook from this time (Yes I still have my gaming notebooks from such games as Diaspora, Dominion, Merchant Empires, Planetarion, Quest for Yap, Solar Empire, Space Merchant & SM's wretched "close clone" SMR & SpaceDog's unsuccessful Trade Wars like BBG The Merchant among others. Do you?), the main HF alliance ranked #19 while HF 2 ranked #22 and the SK's ranked #28. However disaster struck in mid-March, 2003, Jerle informed me on ICQ (In a conv that I inexplicably failed to cut & paste to email) that he had, and not for the first time, caught both Hyperion & Jewel running multi's. On top of that, he also caught Hyperion right in the act in some other act of something even worse than mere cheating: Hyperion was using his multi-account in a childish attempt to start a war between the HF/SK forces and a powerful alliance called Iron Ring. And this despite the fact that we were already in a war with the powerful Dark Realms alliance.

It was at precisely this point that everything went to Hell.

To be continued....................

------------------------------------------------------------
I am officially resigning my status as a member of
House Forsaken. I have met many friends here, but I
must take my leave now.

I've never been really good at being subtle, so I'll
be blunt. I can't stand to be affiliated with a house
that cannot fulfill its own rules. In light of recent
events, this is the first time in my three years of
membership that I have been ashamed of being a member
of this community, and since nothing seems to be in
the works as a solution, I bid you all adieu.

You all know where I am if you ever want to talk.

Hotaru's resignation from HF was followed up by this by Pinkus aka Krioni, the head of the Browser Based Gaming Realm:

crector and hotaru were actually upducted
from their beds and brainwashed. Thats why they are
leaving...

As for my "leaving" that did not come about until 5 days later when I was formally expelled from HF under the direct orders of HF's Founder-Leader UsuRpeR who made an incredibly vitriolic post, that among other things, claimed that I was 100 times worse than Hitler. I really wanted remain in HF at least until TDZK would reset when I would form a new alliance and take as many of the HF recruits from SMR & TDZK as I could with me. By the time of my expulsion, I was already talking to many of these recruits such as Bakito, Bink, Chaortis, Desert Fox, Dragonte & Sgili, conversations that would eventually lead to the founding of the Knights of the Galaxy (KOG).

However, the KOG is another story for another time.
