The latest email from Travis Cannell about Escaton:

We released six new screenshots today with 2 new ships. The screens were taken as we panned the camera through a Valtavech Battle Group -- you can see formations of ships in the background if you look closely.

Bon Appetit!

TDZK Update:

The following was posted on the game's front page:

The Beta Test of the new TDZK code (and the reset), will be delayed by a week. The new code is almost ready, but there are still a few things that need to be finished. The admin staff feels that it's worth taking a few more days to ensure everything is done right, we apologize for the delays. The target date for the beta is now Saturday the 2nd of November.

Space Merchant Realms Update:

There is a fairly new fan site devoted to SMR that looks like a promising project.

MARS Project Update:

October 15, 2002

Long weekends are always productive...

After a relaxing and productive long weekend I feel comfortable releasing a screenshot of The MARS Project build screen. The turn summary is actually an IFRAME that only displays one turn at a time. This prevents the massive scrolling that occurs if you do say 50 turns of exploring. the game should have minimal scrolling.

The content shown in the "Turn Summary" is incorrect and underwraps right now. Since we have 20 military types now I don't care to show what they are or any catagories of what they are.

The MARS Project uses a lot of CSS, Javascript and a large sum of this generation HTML render engine specific code. Since this is not possible in older browsers we are forced to recommend IE6.0, Mozilla 1.1 or Netscape 7. All of which have been tested so far and all of which work.

We are weeks away from an alpha. No longer the previously stated months.

Astonia News:

Press Release:

New Astonia 3™ Patch Released

Hamburg, September 13, 2002. Intent Software releases a new patch for Astonia
3™, their successful Fantasy-MMORPG.

The patch adds a new feature to the world of Astonia: The Labyrinth Quest™.
Labyrinths are independent mini areas which the players have to solve on their way
to becoming an Archmage, Archwarrior or a Seyan'Du. Each Labyrinth is a world of
its own with new enemies, NPCs and thrilling and unique quests. Ishtar, Astonia's
mighty God, created these quests to prepare the warriors and mages of Astonia for
the fateful fight against the Gate Keeper. The new patch consists of the first two of a
total of 20 Labyrinth levels.

Astonia 3™ (www.astonia.com) is a Fantasy-MMORPG that can be downloaded for
free (approximately 35 MB). After the free 28-days trial period, the players pay a
subscription fee of US$ 9.95 per month.
