TDZK Update:

The Beta Test is being pushed back a few more days. The admin team has been having some issues in Real Life (sickness and loss of coding time). At this point we're hesitant to give a specific target day for the beta, but it will still be soon. Maybe around the 6th if we can manage it.

Quest for Yap (www.yapquest.com)



Overview:
Quest for Yap has been on the internet since September 2000. Now registering an average of 700 unique IPs per day, Quest for Yap has grown into a medium sized online community. Quest for Yap is a browser-based game of trade, construction, and warfare. Two game styles, Original and Melee, provide two unique models for gameplay, each with their own strategy. Play as one of seven races and try to advance your clan to the top of the rankings.



Latest Development:
Quest for Yap is fairly mature, but development continues. New features are always being added to enhance game balance and provide for new, interesting strategies.

QfY: Ground Wars



Overview:
Quest for Yap: Ground Wars(GW) is a prequel to the world of Quest for Yap set in a completely different format. GW is being written in C++ utilizing DirectX 8. GW will be a mid-size downloadable game which will have 3 play modes, including single-player against a powerful AI, peer-to-peer where you can battle a friend, and in the distant future, a massively multiplayer mode in which you will be able to compete against and play with large numbers of other players.



Latest Development:
GW is a work in progress, and there is no version currently released to the public. We are currently looking for graphics artists to help supplement the graphics for the first versions. If you are interested, please let me know at bryan.krause@yapquest.com. News will be posted here to keep you up to date on where we are in the GW project. As we come across things that can be released to the public(screens, demos, etc), those will also be posted here.



News:


11-2-02: Unit radii increased. Cleaned up a bit. Level selecting menu redesigned. Projectile trails adjusted. Equipment adjusted to support multiple weapons.

11-1-02: Victory conditions established, damage equations completed. Force fire added. A couple bugs fixed.
