Thread: Not so happy a family? Thread Tools 07-19-2008, 11:21 PM #1 JCourt512 JCourt512 is offline Banned Join Date Jul 2008 Posts 127 Not so happy a family? http://www.omgn.com/nexus/?p=474 http://www.omgn.com/nexus/?p=476 I googled House Forsaken and found THAT staring me in the face. Is this some disgruntled old member turned stalker? And what the hell was the disagreement about? This guy's posts don't make any sense and really make him out to be a loser... There used to be a browser based game called TDZK which was run by that person and 2-3 others, most of them ended up joining HF. Anyway a HF member was found to be cheating (he was running 2 or 3 accounts instead of 1) and he threw a huge hissy fit because we wanted to ban the cheater for the season instead booting him from the guild. Crector blew up because the more mad he got, the less Dave, Graham, and I were going to do anything about it to a point where if I am not mistaken, we removed him from HF. He blew it waaaaay out of proportion and in the end, brought all of the drama on himself. Anyway, Charles Rector had an issue with it and used OMGN's high traffic to slam HF a dozen times over the course of something like.. 5 years? He blew every little thing out of proportion and most of it he made up. OMGN was run by a former member as well and Crector was talked to about not making such posts on his blog anymore... then he left OMGN... later came back and one of his first posts was AGAIN about HF. I actually moved the thread discussing this from long time ago because it too was showing up as one of the top links if you google'd "House Forsaken" right under the OMGN links. lol. I also discussed this with Dark about archiving those silly posts of his. There is no newsworthy content talking about HF that way. it made him look like a whining bitch. TDZK was basically a simplified eve online without graphics lol. it was actually pretty fun. I think crector was trying to get (and correct me if i'm wrong) Neo banned from HF for using more than one account in the game. neo, or whoever it was....you're a dirty cheating whorebag. he came to me about the problem first and I told him I would deal with it, which I did. he wasn't happy with my solution (which was basicly saying don't do that again lol) and i told crector to ban him from his game if he wanted to, he broke the one account rule...his game his agenda, whatever fine, problem solved. crector wanted me to kick whoever it was that did it. I told him I wasn't going to boot someone who had been in the guild for 3+ years over something like breaking the rules on a browser-based game. he got all mad then and he went to the other Highforsaken about it...who told him to go (and i quote) "pack sand" as Usurper eloquently put it...we weren't banning a long standing member for something so silly. I remember laughing so hard when dave told him that that i could barely hold it together. By that point he had gotten so pissed off (because i was laughing at him over IRC) yet, for some reason, he hadn't left the guild...finally one of us just banned him from the forums and gave him the boot from the guild. Who says the Highforsaken don't provide some high entertainment? speaking of which...do any of you remember who it was that i made it so any time you typed his name in the forums the badword filter caught it and made it Douchebag? Dan if you can find that post i will give you an internet reach around. sadly, all the stick figure images i made in mspaint of various HF members mounting his mom doggy style were stored on the old clan-forsaken.com domain and are gone Last edited by StormFire; 07-20-2008 at 10:27 AM. I wish this guy would get his stories straight before posting his rambles about how he's still sore that he got the boot and now we all suck. My msg to you Charles Rector is to buy Wow BC, send a tell to Tenkerbella ill invite you to House Forsaken, take a few minutes to ridicule you then kick you out to the curb were you belong with all the other rejects. or you could just keep posting away about how we suck and all but you got booted? Man I don't know of anyone that got kicked from the HF forums so you must have been one hell of a sleezbag why OMGN: Nexus allow you to continue your campaign of hate is beyond me... if we suck so bad and are all the social rejects you claim us to be then what does that make you? This was the top amount since we redid these forums. Since then we have had 3 other days that have been between 85 and 91, all higher than before May 22nd as well. Granted, we used to have between 200 and 400 posts a day on the forum back 5-6 years ago (the D2/CS days), but recently we have had a few 130-160 post days whereas we haven't had more than 2 over 100 posts during the other 11 other months since last July. Forum registrations are down, but only due to the fact that we did some heavy recruiting between August and January and got over 300 new registered forum users. Since then it has been between 20-40 a month (minus the ad spammers) to really just sustain the wow guild and to only recruit as needed. Once HF gets into more games and into non-mmo genres, we will see a large leap into the 'normal' forum statistic range, but for now, it certainly is getting better than it was last year. One thing I notice about the new posts there, is the "comments off" part under the posts, so nobody can refute them. I'd love to somebody with some law experience go after him for libel or some such. He talks as if MIT committed a great sin by alerting law enforcement to his son's crimes. He was recently the subject of an article in the Chicago Sun-Times as saying that MIT needed to apologize for its actions and to do what his son wanted them to do: make journal articles and academic journals free of charge. Given the fact that academic journals are pretty expensive to publish, if they were made free, pretty soon there would be no more academic journals around. In the early days of Solar Empre, June-October, 1999 House Forsaken was the mightiest clan in the game. At least that is until the likes of the Evil Empire, TalkHouse & the Trex Mercenaries showed up. Even then, HF's position was strong enough that in January 2000 SE creator/developer/operator Bryan Livingston awarded them their own SE game that was admined by HF members. HF was also a multi-game outfit that also had strong clans in other major online games such as at Battle.net and in Everquest. However, HF succumbed to hubris and became too big for its britches. This happened in March, 2003 in the game of TDZK that was created/developed/operated by HF members Jerle & Hotaru. In that game 2 HF members, one of whom named Hyperion had played SE under the name of HY and who had originally been a HF recruit in SE (and if a certain story is true played SE with HF back in late 1999 under the name of -=WindKull=-), were caught brazenly cheating. In a related incident in the same month, Hyperion committed treason by destroying a HF planet (Planet OMGN). Since HF prided itself as being a clan that claimed to have honor at the very core of its being and repeatedly used the idea that it was a honorable outfit in its recruiting that was firmly opposed to cheating, one have thought that the HF leadership would have come down hard on the cheaters. Instead the opposite happened. The leadership acted as if nothing bad happened and that, if anything, the real culprits were those who brought the cheating to the attention of the clan. Additionally, the leadership failed to provide even the slightest discipline to Hyperion for his SE treason. The end result of all this was the mass resignation of almost every member of the HF Browser-Based Gaming Realm (about half of the membership of ) and with that the single most active unit within HF ceased to exist. From that point on, HF went into a state of decline and fall and after years of being little more than a glorified "forum clan" has ceased to exist. This is what we've all been waiting for! remember all that hype about shadowbane, and how everyoen was going to play, and it would make us better because of the unity? well all of that can be come to life with this game:TDZK. It takes very little time, you can go out there and try to make as much money as you can with your alotted turns and spend 5 minutes, or plan out each move strategically so that youll build the ultimate ship. This game is free, was made by a couple HF members (Jerle and Hotaru) and has over 2000 players playing. It just resetted last week, so everyone is pretty much on a level basis. The learning curve is really really simple, this is one of those games that takes 5 minutes to learn, but forever to master. I've been playing for a couple days and i just cant seem to get enough! heh, i find myself at my computer waiting for the new hour to come so i get my new 25 turns This is our chance to show our dominance in the world of gaming... to own at a game that HF made... so how about it would you like to be part of the revolution? its really quite simple we've already got over 30 members in our alliance, but we could always use more... even if youre not an addict like me... your playing will help you become closer to EVERYONE in hf... all of you bnet people could play with the cs'ers and mmorpg people... it'd be soooo nice but the best part.... ITS FREE AND FUN!! so come join 30 of your fellow HF members as we prepare to pwn all these wannabe startup clans out there... but not to sound cocky or anything,... cause theres a couple of really good alliances out there who could probly kick our asses... but give us a couple of weeks www.tdzk.net any questions? post em here among the members playing: me, crector, mysty, zolt, smith, darkwulf, darkflare, and others you know you wanna play Reply With Quote Reply With Quote 02-23-2003, 10:47 PM #2 Stealth Stealth is offline Professional Bum Diablo III Starcraft II Stealth's Avatar Join Date May 2001 Location Seattle, WA Posts 2,211 Send a message via AIM to Stealth Send a message via MSN to Stealth Server is down or something. The resulting list can be sorted by experience, member count, and alphabetically for you convenience. Click the on the Alliance Name you wish to join to bring up their alliance page. To join them simply type the password into the password field at the bottom of their Alliance page and click the [Join] button.
